Karen Brody, playwright of Birth and founder of BOLD Birth, a global movement galvanizing grassroots communities to be BOLD and change the culture of birth. Her play Birth has reached over 50,000 people in communities worldwide and raised over $500,000 to improve maternity care. In 2011 she created The BOLD Method for Birth, the first childbirth empowerment method using mindfulness-based tools for pregnant women.
