Holly Sherman, CPM, LM – Holly states that she has always been fascinated with birth. As a child, she would often sneak up on animals and watch them give birth. While doing her prerequisites for nursing school in Georgia, her family got orders to Korea. While living amongst the Koreans her eyes were opened to alternative healthcare and she became interested in herbs and homeopathy. Shortly after moving back home to San Antonio she found a local midwifery organization and attended one of their monthly meetings. She was “hooked” and her life has never been the same. She found her passion and began attending midwifery school and births in 1994 while pregnant with her third child. She had her third and fourth children at home with midwives. She obtained her CPM in 1999 and licensed as a midwife in Texas in 2000 and she has caught over 700 babies. Holly has started two very successful Birth Centers and her current birthing center in West Houston is thriving.
