Dr. Payel Banik
Dr. Payel Banik earned her Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Centre in Fort Worth, TX in 2009. She completed her family medicine residency at San Jacinto Methodist Family Medicine Residency in Baytown, TX in 2012 and became board certified in FM that year. Dr. Banik went on to specialize and complete a residency in neuromusculoskeletal medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine (NMM/OMM) at Florida Hospital East Orlando Plus One Residency in 2013 and earned her second board certification in NMM/OMM. She is fully licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas and is committed to life-long learning. She owns her own practice, Osteopathic Healing Hands, and specializes in the care of infants, children, and pregnant moms, helping numerous things like pregnancy pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, breech babies, labor induction, recovery from c-sections and vaginal deliveries, birth trauma, difficulty breast-feeding, torticollis, plagiocephaly, reflux, and colic.
Dr. Banik was married in 2009 and is a proud mother of a boy born November 2014. Her hobbies include yoga, tennis, dancing, traveling, rock-climbing, hiking, playing the piano, drawing, and spending time with family and friends.
