National Vaccine Information Center
Barbara Loe Fisher is a human rights activist and co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center, a non-profit charity she cofounded with parents of vaccine injured children in 1982. NVIC is dedicated to preventing vaccine injuries and deaths through public education and defending the human right to informed consent to medical risk taking, which includes the legal right to make voluntary vaccine choices. Barbara is co-author of the seminal 1985 book, DPT: A Shot in the Dark; founder and Executive Editor of the online journal newspaper The Vaccine Reaction, a video commentator for the NVIC and Mercola newsletters and her work was featured in the award winning documentary The Greater Good. During the past 35 years, she has analyzed and publicly articulated the science, policy, law, ethics and politics of vaccination to become one of the world’s leading non-medical consumer advocacy experts on the subject. She has debated more doctors on television and radio about vaccination than any other American.
