Bethany Roger – she was raised in Lubbock, Texas and is a  second year Master’s student in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Houston. Her thesis is about the use of Midwifery locally. She also created a short ethnographic film project about the Bay Area Birth Center last semester. It was her first ever experience creating and editing a film. Her other strong areas of interest are education reform and in using urban farming to address food deserts, environmental problems, to combat the consumption of highly processed foods. She is interested in becoming a midwife as well
